Evan’s Blastoff to Space Third Birthday Party

February 9, 2013 in Family, Kids, Party 8 Comments

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 Our children are out biggest gift from God. I can’t believe I’m a mom to two healthy young boys and I am so blessed to share my life with … Continue reading »

Joshua’s Nautical First Birthday Party

January 3, 2013 in Family, Kids, Party 24 Comments

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Psalm 127:3 What a blessing it has been to celebrate Joshua’s first birthday. Now that he is taking his first steps I realize, once again, that time flies by and that every step he takes is another step towards his independence. For now, … Continue reading »

A Week in Snapshots: ❊December 10-16,2012❊

December 16, 2012 in A Week in Snapshots, Expat Life, Family, Holidays, Jakarta, Kids, Party 2 Comments

My heart is aching for the families in Newtown, Connecticut. Every time I watch the news or read a new article about it I get a tear-eyed and try not to hug the boys too hard. I can’t believe something like this is happening, yet again. My thoughts and constant prayers go out to those … Continue reading »

{ExpatLife}: How to throw a fabulous party while overseas without overspending

June 10, 2012 in Crafts, Expat Life, Family, Food, Party 14 Comments

We love throwing parties. We are always looking for excuses to have our friends come over and have a good time. We’ve found, however, that things that seemed much more simple at home can become a bit complicated overseas. We don’t have a party supply store, a Target or a dollar store available so we … Continue reading »

Blast from the Past: Evan’s 1st Birthday Party

June 9, 2012 in Family, Kids, Party 9 Comments

As any new mom I wanted to go all out for my baby’s first birthday party. We were living in Bangkok at the time so I wasn’t even sure how to start planning or get some inspiration. I knew I didn’t want to do a party with a specific character theme since I knew baby … Continue reading »

Wednesday Wall2Wall ☆ Black & White Sip N' See

June 7, 2012 in Family, Party Leave a comment

Reblogged from Chuzai Living: Sip N’ See is a southern tradition in the U.S. where friends gather to meet a baby. My talented, stylish friend, Ana of Stumble Abroad, offered to host a gathering for me and my baby boy so that I don’t have to keep entertaining friends at home to introduce him. Ana … Continue reading »

I know I’ve been a little bit absent this past week, but you are soon to see why. We had a very busy and productive week. I had so many fun events going on during the week that I can’t believe it’s over and my schedule for next week seems empty compared to this past … Continue reading »

It’s not a Fiesta without a Piñata!

March 17, 2012 in Crafts, Family, Holidays, Party 4 Comments

Growing up in Mexico it wasn’t unusual to see a piñata at any party.  In fact, it was rather unusual not to see one, even at office parties or when kids were not the main guests to a party. When we were dating, I gave my husband a small piñata for his birthday. I just … Continue reading »

Not so terrible twos

February 12, 2012 in Family, Party 10 Comments

My big boy just turned two. That’s a scary thought. I have now been a mom for over two years. Nonetheless, it is not as scary as the fact than sooner rather than later he’ll be a teenager and I will have to deal with testosterone peaks and girlfriend drama.  But for now, I will … Continue reading »
