{DisneyWorld} Magic Kingdom

September 12, 2015 in Family, Kids, Travel, USA 1 Comment

It has barely been a week since the boys started school again and I am already thinking about taking a vacation. Last year, in August, we were blessed to have the opportunity to visit Disney World in Orlando with my mom. Ever since we were in Indonesia I dreamed of the day we would be able … Continue reading →

People say you never know what you have until it’s gone. Right now I realize I didn’t appreciate the tropical weather we lived in for the past 5 years. As the winter in Virginia refuses to subside and we are yet again stuck home due to a snow day, I can’t help but dream of … Continue reading →

When we started planning our trip to Hong Kong last year I knew there would be no way we would be able to get to see everything this amazing cosmopolitan city has to offer. After all, we would only be there for 4 days and the lists of top 10 things to see seemed to … Continue reading →

In our quest to visit every amusement park in Asia ( btw: we are not even 1/4 there, watch out Shanghai Disney, see you in 2016!), we obviously had to check out Universal Studios in Singapore. We had already visited Singapore a few times with the boys but this time we thought both of them … Continue reading →

The one thing One of the things on top of my list of things to do before we left Indonesia , besides hitting all the bazaars and trying to buy everything within reach, was to visit Hong Kong and to take the boys to Hong Kong Disneyland. My mom’s visit for Evan’s 4th birthday party … Continue reading →

2013 was a year of many firsts for our family. {Mexico} Snorkeling with the Magnificent Whale Sharks

October 18, 2014 in Diving, Mexico, Travel 1 Comment

Last September, or should I say, the previous to last September, when we visited La Riviera Maya we had the opportunity to snorkel with the magnificent Whale Sharks. These creatures are just incredibly gentle and so gorgeous. I still can’t believe we were able to see so many. We were very lucky. Two days before … Continue reading →

Last summer’s vacation to Mexico was such a blessing. We were able to enjoy a little bit of everything Mexico has to offer. We went diving, enjoyed the beach, visited the Capital City, got to enjoy time with our dear friends and family and even had the opportunity to visit an old colonial town. The … Continue reading →

When we first arrived at the small Lombok International Airport we could breathe the fresh tropical air , see the smiling faces of the residents and knew that this was going to be a wonderful trip. We had booked a car to take us to the hotel and the diver offered to give us a … Continue reading →

{LombokForKids} Visiting a Pearl Farm

January 12, 2014 in Indonesia, Travel 6 Comments

Our visit to Lombok last November was very different than most of our trips. For the first time in months we didn’t have an agenda and we were just ready to relax and enjoy the idyllic beaches, fantastic food and gorgeous views. So after two days of doing just that, I started to get itchy … Continue reading →
