We’re Back, at least for a bit…

September 12, 2013 in Travel 7 Comments

I am sorry I’ve been MIA. We just got back from our vacation on Sunday and it truly was a time to rest and recreate. I barely touched my computer and instead enjoyed every minute of our trip. We saw our good friends, spent precious time with our families and were very blessed to have … Continue reading →

{Jakarta} Sunda Kelapa

August 8, 2013 in Indonesia, Jakarta 4 Comments

It was a muggy day in the middle of July when we decided to explore the northern harbor of Jakarta sans kids. I had heard from many friends that this place was totally worth a visit if not for the shopping in the traditional markets at least for an unforgettable experience of immersing ourselves in … Continue reading →

{Review} Stuck on You Personalized Kid Labels and Accesories

August 6, 2013 in Review 6 Comments

Anyone with preschoolers and toddlers can attest to this fact: children are not biologically predisposed to share their belongings. I have learned this the hard way and it has become our daily struggle to teach the boys some manners and encourage them to share. Alongside this premise there is the fact that children can become … Continue reading →

{BaliForKids} Tirta Gangga Water Palace

August 4, 2013 in Family, Indonesia, Kids, Travel 6 Comments

During our last trip to Bali we decided to get off the beaten path and try our luck visiting the wonders of East Bali. Boy were we in for a treat. Not only did we find a gorgeous palace that belonged to a Balinese royal family but we discovered a totally different palace, one centered … Continue reading →

{Jakarta} A weekend staycation at the Shangri-La Jakarta

August 1, 2013 in Jakarta, Kids, Travel 2 Comments

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to take a break from the routine and go on a weekend staycation at the Shangri-La Hotel here in Jakarta. Despite the fact that we didn’t hop on a plane and pack for a lifetime, the boys were very excited as we were dropped off at the … Continue reading →

{BaliforKids} “Puri Agung Karangasem” Karangasem Royal Palace in Amlapura

July 28, 2013 in Indonesia, Kids, Travel 2 Comments

Our last visit to Bali was very different from our earlier ones. This time I wasn’t pregnant, we didn’t even visit the touristy places and we stayed far away from the resort area. This time, our sole purpose was to get our advanced open water diving certificate and to see a part of Bali we … Continue reading →

{KualaLumpur} A few Petro-Sights

July 26, 2013 in Travel Leave a comment

You can’t say you have visited Kuala Lumpur if you don’t take a picture in front of the Petronas I soon realized as we were getting to pack everything back in our suitcase the evening before our flight back to Jakarta. I hastily got my camera gear ready and forced encouraged the three boys to … Continue reading →

{JakartaForKids} Kid’s Activities at the Shangri-La Hotel

July 24, 2013 in Jakarta, Kids 9 Comments

For us, weekends in Jakarta are usually full of errands and social activities. We like to spend Saturdays and Sundays with the boys and take them out of the house at least for a few hours. Although we love all the amazing indoor playgrounds throughout Jakarta, for the most part we try to avoid the … Continue reading →

{KualaLumpurForKids} Kid-Friendly Street Food in Kuala Lumpur

July 20, 2013 in Food, Kids, Restaurant, Travel 5 Comments

Our recent trip to Kuala Lumpur turned into a culinary excursion soon after we got there. A few hours into our visit, we realized that KL was not only a modern, clean and dynamic city, but a foodie’s paradise as well. The most sophisticated palates alongside the  pickiest toddler ones are able to converge and … Continue reading →

Every time we start preparing for a trip a make a short list of the things we “would like to see”, the places we “must visit” and the venues that are on our “if we have extra time” list. When we were getting ready to visit Kuala Lumpur a few weeks ago, I knew, for … Continue reading →
