We love throwing parties. We are always looking for excuses to have our friends come over and have a good time. We’ve found, however, that things that seemed much more simple at home can become a bit complicated overseas. We don’t have a party supply store, a Target or a dollar store available so we … Continue reading
Blast from the Past: Evan’s 1st Birthday Party
As any new mom I wanted to go all out for my baby’s first birthday party. We were living in Bangkok at the time so I wasn’t even sure how to start planning or get some inspiration. I knew I didn’t want to do a party with a specific character theme since I knew baby … Continue reading
Singapore: Getting There, Staying There, Eating There
I had honestly never been too excited to visit Singapore. We had had the opportunity to “move” there temporarily to give birth to Joshua but decided against it and went to the US instead. In my mind, post-partum depression, plus newborn, plus Christmas in a new place where I didn’t know anyone was not a … Continue reading
Sightseeing Singapore with Kids
We’ve come to the conclusion that the easiest and most effective way to sightsee with the kids are tour buses. Sure, they are a bit more expensive than riding public transportation (where available), but they are the easiest and most-tourist friendly modes of transportation we’ve found. We certainly appreciate the fact that the drivers are … Continue reading

As I’ve mentioned before here, we thought Joshua was a Sophia, Christmas stocking, ruffled pants and all. I had left Jakarta with a … Continue reading

Evan’s room featured in Apartment Therapy
We were so excited to see Evan’s room featured in Apartment Therapy. This is what the room looks like as of now.I feel like it’s still not finished and I wish to add a few pieces of artwork to the the bare walls. I actually do have a few fabric banners I’ve added to the room and I will be posting about them soon. I’m also on the verge of finally finishing redecorating Joshua’s formerly pink nursery.
Thanks for stopping by and come back soon for the updated versions of the boy’s room. Happy Wednesday!
The Concrete Landscape of Singapore
For me, one of the most enjoyable parts of Singapore, other than the fresh air, delectable food and amazing shopping was the architecture. I was so impressed by the various buildings and landmarks in Singapore that I really think they deserve a post of their own. I’m not talking about the gorgeous tropical scapes, but … Continue reading

Hi, this is an interview I recently did for BlogExpat.com. You can find it here. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. My name is Ana Gaby, short for Ana Gabriela. With a telenovela name like that you can probably tell I come from somewhere in Latin America. … Continue reading
